Tigers add Garrett, Therize

Auburn commitments DB Robenson Therize and LB Justin Garrett are now signed on the dotted line.

Calloway reverses field once again

Brent Calloway, a long-time Alabama committment who changed his allegiance to Auburn only last month, re-considered and decided to roll with the Tide on National Signing Day.
Calloway, played both running back and linebacker in high school. He will likely play linebacker at Alabama.

Signings coming in for the Tigers

Signing day seems to be proceeding like clockwork early on for Auburn, although the Tigers lost out on offensive lineman Antonio Richardson, who chose Tennessee.

Previously committed players who have signed to make it official thus far include: LB Chris Landrum, S Anthony Swain, DE Keymira Harrell, DL Devaunte Sigler, QB Kiehl Frazier, OL Christian Westerman, WR Sammie Coates, DL Angelo Blackson, TE Brandon Fulse, WR Taylor Denson, LB Kris Frost, DL Jabrian Niles, and OL Greg Robinson.
Safety Erique Florence, who had not made a verbal commitment but who was considered a strong lean to the Tigers, also has signed. Cornerback Jermaine Whitehead, a former Mississippi State commitment, also landed with the Tigers.

Now it's 17 ...

Double digits

Auburn has letters already from just more than a dozen players. And for one of the bigger ones who saved his announcement for today the Tigers didn't have to go very far at all.

Enrique Florence of Valley picked the Tigers over Southern Cal. Both Rivals and Scout have Florence (6-2, 185) in the top 5 safeties in the nation.

Jermaine Whitehead was a signing day surprise for Auburn. The cornerback had been heavy between Ole Miss and State and then near the end of the recruiting process visited the Tigers and must have fell in love.

Cyrus Kouandjio, one of the top linemen in the country, will decide at noon.

While you're waiting, here's a highlight video of Florence.

Welcome to Signing Day

Nobody cares about a groundhog around here unless he can break five seconds in the shuttle run.

If you're away from a TV today, you're likely going to be logged on, and hopefully we can help.

While National Signing Day has become somewhat anti-climatic, there are still a few players who will make their announcements today. Here's a rundown of the big boys...

Cyrus Kouandjio - An offensive lineman Auburn could certainly put to work. Word is its between the Tiger, Iowa and Alabama. Kind of an odd mix, huh?
Tony Steward - No, this isn't the NASCAR driver. While he's shown some interest in the Tigers and arch-rival Alabama, the linebacker signing with either one is as likely as a Tony Stewart suiting up in orange and blue this fall.

Here's others Auburn is in the mix for with the other schools they are considering. (Auburn is understood).

Gabe Wright (DT) – Alabama, Clemson, Tennessee, Alabama
Erique Florence (S) – Southern Cal
Antonio Richardson (OT) – Georgia, Tennessee
Javorius "Buck" Allen (RB) – South Florida, Southern Cal, Tennessee
Spencer Region (OG) – Clemson, Louisville, Wisconsin
