AUBURN – Auburn’s mid-to-late-inning meltdown misery continued on Sunday at Plainsman Park and No. 1-ranked Vanderbilt beat the Tigers 6-2 to complete a three-game sweep of the SEC series.
Coupled with last week’s sweep at Mississippi State, the Tigers (15-13, 2-7 SEC) have lost six consecutive SEC games. It’s the first time Auburn has been swept in back-to-back SEC series since 2007 when the Tigers went 0-6 against Georgia and Florida on consecutive weekends.
