Auburn makes the grade

All of Auburn’s sports programs bettered the acceptable score of 925 in the NCAA’s Academic Progress Rates, which were released Tuesday.
The APR measures athletes’ progress toward earning a degree. Programs that score below 925 are subject to penalty.
Women’s basketball, with a perfect score of 1,000, led the way. Football scored a 95, which marks a 15-point improvement over last year, although it still leaves Auburn ranked ninth in the 12-team SEC.

If players leave prior to graduation in order to pursue a professional athletic career, does that hurt the score?
